Assess and document
Photograph everything, record numbers and compare against factory records before you take anything apart.

Chassis and body
Check the steel structure and panels for corrosion and previous repairs before any cosmetic work.

Engine and gearbox
The V12 and gearbox share a casting layout, so plan the rebuild together. P400 and S cars share oil between them.

Electrics and interior
Rewire carefully, restore the original instruments and trim, keep original parts where possible.
