The Jota was a single lightweight prototype. The SVJ cars and the many replicas that followed all trace back to it.
Test driver Bob Wallace developed the Jota in 1970 as a lightweight, higher-power Miura. Its name comes from FIA Appendix J.
It was a testing exercise, not a factory racing programme. Only one Jota was built.
After the Jota, a small number of cars were built or converted to SVJ specification at customer request. Reported counts vary, so cite one source.
Check Polo Storico records before you trust any SVJ claim.
A one-off open Miura shown at the Brussels Motor Show in 1968. It never reached production.
